The photo shoot we did just earlier today.
Another year, another innovation from Audi. The pioneers of LED technology in cars showcase their new ‘Laserlight concept’ on the Sport Quattro concept. BMW already have laser headlamps in production though (BMW i8) but Audi’s will most likely look cooler.
How it works: the outer rim of the lights themselves are matrix LEDs (found on the newest A8) which act as the low beam. The laserlights are used for the high beam which provide 3x more luminosity than LEDs and 2x more range. They will feature on this year’s R18 e-tron quattro LMP1 racers.
Sadly, these aren’t the kind of lasers that will burn through metal or blast through rocks.
It’s alright - without that Audi badge on the hood and Quattro on the lip, I would’ve thought that was a BMW just by looking at the shape of the headlights alone.
Cleaning the Avant Garde M359s with Sonax.
Dirtiest wheels were the ones in front (duh)
But all 4 came to be like the clean one after a little spraying and polishing.
