Call of Duty: Ghosts
I just bought this game last night, and finished the campaign earlier today.
It is fucking terrible. Waste of $60.
First off, I started playing Call of Duty after I got bored of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault back in the day, when I was in middle school I think. Or maybe even high school. I love MOHAA and eventually got at least four other expansions later on when they came out. CoD back then was a nice getaway from MoH. No talk of the system or gameplay or other technical crap, it just felt and played differently, and I liked it.
I had CoD 1, 2, and 3. Those were the WWII-based ones. Then came MW - had the first one, second and third, plus World at War.
Ghosts seemed badass since the character Ghost in the previous MW’s made the character seem mysterious with a story behind him but the game was terrible.
I don’t have epilepsy. I’ve never thrown up from motion sickness, never got car sick, sea sick, etc. But playing most of the levels in CoD: Ghosts seriously made me disoriented and almost epileptic. The movement is so off - it’s not smooth, and the BIGGEST thing that bothers me is the sound FX.
All of the guns seem great, I looked them up before I started playing, and I was curious what they sounded like. I’ve picked up and fired every gun and they ALL sound like little BB guns.
In MW, the shotguns sounded loud and deadly, the AKs were deafening, etc. In Ghosts, they all sounded quiet - nothing from what they sounded like in MW, which sounded closer to the real thing as a game.
Storyline was great, glad the doggie didn’t die, but it just sucks that this game showed no improvements.
