#1 + #2 + #3 = my dream come true, finally.
Just ordered the wheels, still searching for the right sutd/lug nut kit.
Hoping to get these either on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Along with a complete set of neochrome lug nuts
Unfiltered pic taken with the Lumia 920.
1) Wiped down with Turtle’s synthetic wax….big no-no ‘cause it pushes the dirt into the paint = scratches and spider webs
2) Clayed with Griot’s Garage clay kit
3) Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound to fix the scratches/webs
4) Sonax ProfiLine
Result: Polymer shield that makes water literally slide right off along with a silky shine.
E46 Master List of Intakes
My contribution to the E46 (ZHP) community.
Hopefully I get more time soon to be able to look up the individual users’ dyno charts and not the ones supplied by the manufacturers/retailers. Much more reliable to see/hear about it from someone who spent their money on it.

E46 non-M drifting?
Homie, you can’t drift if you don’t have a limited slip differential on. So stop saying you tried or actually did it “even though it was hard.”
It’s impossible without LSD. And only the E46 M3 had it.
Unless you spent a couple thousand dollars into an LSD, you can only at most, turn off DSC and play pretend-drift. Maybe even slide around on wet surfaces. Not the same thing as true, LSD’d, power-to-both-wheels drifting.
And even then, you would need to have your subframe reinforced since it’s a common wear-and-tear part of the E46. Not to mention the right tires, better brakes, strut bar, etc.
You can either do it the right way, or the cheap way. Can’t have both.
More pics of the lip installed!
Obviously obsessed with it at this point.
Some before and after shots.
Before: Had the carbon fiber splitters on for about a year now - they looked subtle and meaner but once the passenger side cracked….it was time to move onto something new.
After: It’s a pain in the ass to drive now, especially going up/down a driveway and over speed bumps. Car isn’t lowered but the lip will scrape if going > 7MPH.
How does it look?
It’s okay baby….even if nobody else loves you, I love you.
The engine bay, before the quad projector headlight project. (Even more cluttered now with two extra ballasts)
Considering selling the strut bar after having it for less than a year…college tuition’s a bitch when you’re living on your own and have been since you were 18. Plus cell phone bills, credit card bills, filling up on 91 gas, food, textbooks, etc.
It’s funny how this one little thing is worth over $1,000 brand new….over 10 have sold for around $1,100 new on eBay (seller history).
The seller’s now out and they were the last new ones (old stock, dealership) so this is only going to become more and more rare….fucking hate it when it’s priorities vs. passions, wants vs. needs.
Excited for the new BMW M4 to start hitting the dealerships. Because now the E46 is the third-newest 3-series (now it’s F30, then the E90, then E46) which means E46s are now almost considered an antique.
Which means prices will drop. (They have, and will keep falling)
Which means kids in high school will be able to buy them up. (They have)
Which means more and more E46s will get crashed, wrecked, or broken down because most of them don’t take good care of them. (Or at least look like crap or riced out)
Which means mine will look even sexier. Hehehe
*Will be replacing all four oxygen sensors soon as part of the recommended 100,000 mile service….probably don’t need to for a while and it would mean -$500 in parts alone and not including labor, but doing this = preventive maintenance = what most people DON’T do.
